Rebecca Reed

Rebecca is an accomplished communications, public speaking and public relations professional of 15 years, with experience teaching NZ Speech and Drama at primary and secondary school level. She also has three years experience working as a Broadcast Journalist in New Zealand and in the United Kingdom.

As the Director of PR consultancy, Arriba! PR, Rebecca brings a wealth of experience in communications. Her specialist skills of media training, public speaking, writing, strategic planning and media relations are a wonderful complement to her teaching in the classroom.

Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Communications in Broadcast Journalism from the NZ Broadcasting School, a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and is the recipient of two national journalism awards – the Qantas Media Award for Breaking News Story of the Year and Best Junior Broadcaster in 2005.

Rebecca also holds an Advanced Associate Diploma in Speech and Drama Teaching and is working towards completing her Licentiate Diploma in the Teaching of Speech and Drama.

As a mother of 3 children, Rebecca is actively involved in her children’s school, kindergarten and church community.  She also lives locally in Boulcott and looks forward to helping build confident and expressive young students.

  • Bachelor of Broadcasting Communications in Broadcast Journalism – New Zealand Broadcasting School, Christchurch.
  • Bachelor of Arts in Political Science – Victoria University of Wellington
  • ​​​​​​​Licentiate Diploma in the Teaching of Speech and Drama
  • Advanced Associate Diploma in the Teaching of Speech and Drama – The New Zealand Speech Board, Wellington.
  • Certificate in Te Ara Reo Maori – Te Wananga o Aotearoa.
